Parenting Support

Therapy for Parents

Parenting is one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences we go though. Becoming a parent can also highlight past wounds we may have thought we had long buried away or dealt with. As your family grows you may find yourself re-evaulating your own experiences as a child and noticing that current experiences trigger our own children remind us of our past. We can work together to:

  • Develop your self-awareness a

  • Increasing self-regulation/co-regulation skills for yourself & your children

  • Learning about how your nervous system impacts your ability to stay present with your family

  • Flashbacks of your own childhood experiences while parenting

  • Feeling triggered by your kids & partner

  • Parental burnout

  • Navigating life, family & work stress

  • Repairing & reconnecting with children

  • Repairing relationships with your parents while parenting your children

Parent Coaching Ages 0-3

Parenting is not always intuitive. This can be especially true for those who have complex relationships with their family of origin or for those who are trying to parent differently than they were parented.

We draw on Kelley's unique experience and understanding of Infant & Early Child Mental Health and Perinatal Mental Health to help provide you with information and tools to support you though years 0-3.

We hope our work together will support you as a parent and ultimately, help you foster a positive, empathetic, and secure relationship with your child. We often work with parents to meet their goals related to:

- building a secure attachment

- attunement

- sleep

- toddler brain development

- toddler's big emotions (tantrums)

- discipline
